PHOTO TIPS
A collection of tips to make you more productive and creative in Photoshop.

Convert from JPG TO PSD
The photos in this site are all in JPG format. When you open an image file in Photoshop, resave it as a PSD file because it is best to do all your image editing in native Photoshop format.

Resize and Sharpen
When you resize your photo you may find that it loses sharpness. To sharpen an image in Photoshop, use the Unsharp Mask command which resides under the Filters menu. This command lets you control the amount of sharpening, the radius (controls edge sharpness) and threshold (controls sharpening and noise in smooth areas). It is ok to down-size a photo, but up-sizing is not recommended because it degrades the image and can result in a fuzzy picture.
